New Bedford Whaling Museum Event (Adults)
August 12 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Salter’s Evening Talk at the New Bedford Whaling Museum
Please RSVP by August 7th to Caitlin Wood, cwood@whalingmuseum.org
Join the New Bedford Whaling Museum for an exciting evening as we explore powerful exhibitions that bridge art, culture, and science, led by our chief curator, Dr. Naomi Slipp. Experience Overheard Underwater by artist Perri Lynch Howard, a multi-sensory installation that combines underwater recordings, soundscapes, and visual art to examine the effects of marine noise on whales and ocean life. Then, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Cape Verdean independence, discover Claridade and Morabeza, two compelling exhibitions celebrating the culture, identity, and legacy of the Cape Verdean diaspora in the Southcoast.
