Please join Nick Wildman, Executive Director of the non-profit Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, as he discusses Rivers and Restoration in a Time of Climate Change.  Rivers are dynamic ecosystems that shape and are shaped by the land around them.  The resilience of these landforms and the creatures that depend on them is being tested by unprecedented change. As precipitation patterns become more erratic many New Englanders are looking to reduce the human pressure on our rivers and make our communities safer.  Did you know that there are over 3,000 dams in Massachusetts alone?   Find out how these landmarks of our industrial past can be removed while honoring the past and preparing for the future.

Nick Wildman is the Executive Director of the non-profit Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust.  Before joining DNRT in 2022, Nick worked as a Restoration Specialist at the MA Division of Ecological Restoration, Department of Fish and Game.  There Nick led nearly 20 river and wetland restoration projects and advised on another 20.  He is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner and holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Maine at Machias.  Nick lives in New Bedford with his wife and two kids.
